I’ve never seen that type either. All the folks that have complained about the hook spitting out and chipping the jaws would find it hard to do with that design ;).

Apparently Regal liked the spring loaded mechanism but decided against that jaw tip design for some reason. I’m thinking most tiers didn’t give it a good review.
Do you know how many of this version were made?
