Thought about Ladyfisher today ...

Drove past the Hostess bakery. The odor that comes from that building is enough to put you in a total swoon!! My, gawd! Such bliss! Always reminds me of LF’s love for their bread!

Love you, Deanna!

Wonder Bread always make me think of her.

She still likes Wonder Bread.

And we still like/LOVE her!

I was thinking of grilled oysters in the shell, yummmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Sagefisher,

She has a shellfish allergy.

Sorry to hear that. I was remembering the fresh oysters that would be fire cooked at the Ephrata FAOL gathering a number of years ago.

Unfortunately my friend that was long ago in a place that is now far, far away.

Ladyfisher, I think about you everyday. You have always been a wonderful friend.

I sure hope your shoulder is healing.

Thank Steve, [Z], she appreciated your comment. Shoulder is healing.

Prayers and best wishes, nothing good happens fast at our ages, or so it seems. .

The Ladyfisher had a difficult late summer. She had total reverse shoulder replacement surgery on her left shoulder, which was the same surgery that she had on her right shoulder last summer. The shoulder surgery was uneventful but she had the same cramping problem in her arm that she had experienced when she had her right shoulder and her left hip done. Gradually that diminished and then disappeared. Unfortunately, just 18 days after her shoulder surgery she developed a blocked bile duct. Ten days later she was discharged from the hospital and started the recovery process all over. At nearly 80 years of age this has been a difficult recovery. We were able to return to Arizona for the winter which is good for her but her balance is not good and her stamina has not returned to her pre-surgical levels. As Uncle Jesse notes, ’ nothing happens fast at our ages.’ We appreciate the concern of our readers and your prayers for continued recovery.

Merry Cristmas Ladyfisher. I sure hope you are well on your way to feeling better.
