Those of us with really big heads....

I have a big head…I can never find any good hats…
I found one hat at my schools bookstore, company is Zephyr, its a stretchy hat sized XL…its my only cap that fits!!!
does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone have a good solution?

Raw,

It’s better than having a head so small that you can’t find a hat to fit you. Then you’d never be able to see where you’re going. lol

Be happy with the big head. Big head = Big brain.

Try a Tilley Hat - my 7 and 7/8 noggin loves it. there is even one size bigger. Wonderful - 8 years and counting.

I’ve gone looking for fitted hats before and have maligned myself to the fact that my noggin would be sized in the “8’s”…as I’ve never seen such a hat, I don’t know exactly what it would be. For river use, I have an old Bacardi ball hat I got when I worked at the campus bar that I stick on my head with the back strap undone. 8)

LL BEAN has hats up to XXL–extra extra large. hat 7 7/8 24 5/8 head meas. Send for their fishing or outdoor catalog llbean .com

Just the opposite, Can’t find hats small enough!
I do have a Snoqualmie Sombrero from Outdoor Research that fits very well.

I’m with mcsteff - Tilly with a dark under rim.

I have a big head…average brain.
I’ve found adjustable buckle strap caps fit me the best. Hats are another matter…XL is the only option and often they’re a little to big.
Like underwear one should try before you buy.

Darn it Rich now you’ve gone and started a long lineup.I’m gonna be all day getting to the front of it.

perhaps a trip to an amazonian head shrinker would do the trick. Another suggestion is to find the largest hat in the style you like then soak it in water and stretch it out to fit.

I’d personally love a stetson…but unless you’re gonna buy it for me, I’m out

 there is just no hope for some folks If’n you aint worth the price of a hat you love !!! I beter not say what i’m thinken. but i’m not gona buy ya a good fly rod eather.

I’ve got the same problem, a large melon. That’s why I hate the “low profile” hats, they look like I am wearing a little kids hat.

Imperial Headwear makes hats in larger AND smaller sizes. http://www.imperialheadwear.com/en/prod … hp?PID=101

Give them a call and they can give you the number of a guy who sells them at a retail price that is not very expensive at all.
