This Grandma?s immune system ...

… sure?s not what it used to be!! Thanksgiving with five school aged grandkids, each sharing their own version of school house ?stuff?, proved more than what I could handle. I?m certain that I now have the Bubonic Plague.

I?m now fortified with Zicam, Tylenol Sinus, and 27 boxes of Kleenex … and I?m going fishing. I can?t feel any worse there than I do here, and I may tie into a nice rainbow, or get to see some eagles.

Someone?s got to do it!! See ya Tuesday!!

Betty whenever I get that school house " stuff " I always go out hunting or fishing or at least just get out of the house. I always seem to get better faster than if I were just sitting around the house thinking about how sick I was. Have as much fun as you can.

Let’s hope it’s the real thing and not hillucinations from the medications. Have a great trip, fishing trip that is.

Real thing, hallucinations… so what if they’re pink eagles, at least you get to see 'em!!

You are obviously avoiding going to school cures of hot chinese mustard, wasabi &/or habenero sauce with an assortment of appropriate appetizers ! Flyfishing in cold water should offset the effects after the cure ! 8)

Betty,
I hope you get well soon!!!
Doug

Well Its winter out there so you are allowed to carry a thermous of Hot buttered rum or libation of choice, to fend of the nastys.

We lived on an island for 10 years. Every time we went to the mainland ( once each year ) We picked up everything ailment under the sun it usually ruined our annual leave. It is a good thing I think to have children around it keeps your immune system sharp. I know it doesn’t always feel good but still it keeps you tough as nails.

Betty, I hope that you get feeling better and catch some of those Pink Bald Rainbows.
My mother taught 2nd grade for many years. She is immune to everything. She’s been exposed to all of it. I doubt that bubonic plague would slow her down. Very scary.

So, if Betty is fishing and seeing pink eagles and catching rainbow cheese-its, is the fly tying still on at the Bass Pro tonight Tim.?

TT.

I have found that a little echanasha and mega doses of vitamin c help to keep the pink eagles away and get me feeling better right away.

Get well soon Betty!

We had the creeping crud move through our house too. 4 boys, 2 still ‘using’ binkys, we get everything that passes through!

Betty; You should bottle some of that Cure for next time. Get well and Stay well. Jax

Hey Betty, hope you’re feeling better. I’m sure the fishing would help distract one from the ugg.

Yo Betty,
I have it upon good authority, that if you take the stuff you’ve been taking, that the Crud will last for 2 weeks. Now, if you take a couple of aspirin, and drink lots of fluids, with maybe a “Wild Turkey” chaser, that it will last only 14 days. Get well, and have at em’.

Betty;
Lew is on the right track! A pint of Jack Daniel’s “Old Number 7” is just what you need! It won’t cure ya but it will sure make you forget you’re ailin’!! You’ll get a good nights sleep and in the morning want you’ll to kill me next year at the Michigan Fish-In and you will have forgotten all about “The Crud”!!

Fly fishing - the “be all, end all” cure for the household crud!

Rainbow Chees-Its? We have enough trouble with her and the white cheddar variety. Betty “on” Rainbow Chees-Its", now THAT would be a sight!

Love Ya, Betty. I hope that you get feeling better.

Ed

Getting a good fish on the line generates sensations and excitement that can overpower and dispel many kinds of maladies. That together with just the fresh air outdoors can work wonders. Give 'em hell, Betty!

“Better small than not at all.”

I hear that the atmosphere surrounding the Black Hills has medicinal, healing qualities not found in other fisheries!

Betty,
Also stated (Like Gnu Bee Flyer) that NO trout resided there in the Black Hills!
