Cary Morlan (AKA Linemender) used to host or at least attend a New Year’s Day Fish-In at Rocky Ford Creek in Central Washington every year. After he passed away, I found myself wondering if anybody would continue to go. I wonder if anybody did.

I spoke via email with Z the other day, telling him that at 10 degrees, I would not be going to RF. He indicated that Cary’s brothers, Mike and Kevin were heading out that way today. We’ll have to head over when the weather warms up a bit to wet a fly for Cary.

I heard it was ‘0’ degrees in Ellensburg this morning, or at least near it. I have a friend whose brother lives over there. At Zero degrees even I would have to say no. I have fished at 9 degrees and that was difficult enough.
