The Year Of The Tiger

Continues

Buddy Bruce Ristow caught his first TIGER ever today.

We don’t have them in Michigan to my knowledge. Is this a natural hybred or artificial? Looks more like a brookie than a brown. Do they get big like browns? I haven’t a clue.

That fish is beautiful , its a shame they aren’t able to reproduce.

I caught one 2 yrs ago have not caught or even seen one sense. They are a hybrid between a brook and brown trout they have a genetic defect that only 30% of the eggs survive and they are sterile.

Wow, the colours on that fish are stunning.

We have lakes stocked with Tigers up here in Manitoba. They get big quickly in our lakes and are quite agressive.

Heres a link with some pics of our Mnaitoba tigers http://www.flippr.ca/twinlake.htm

Actually it’s the year of the pig and except for so called hog bass doubt that’s ever been applied to trout.
Again, a very nice pic…making me feel fishy!

pig trout exist

Big trout exist!
Being the trouter wanna be that I am…using the term pig trout is an oxymoron, and a sacrilege besides  !

Tigers do exist in Michigan. I caught my one and only in Wis but i know those that have taken them from at least two watersheds in MI.

BTW, pretty little fish Len…

You guys need to move to PA. Pennsylvania Fish and Boat commision is mixing in few Tigers to all of their stockings. Last year I have seen few nice ones. landed one at 16 in. Not bad for stocked fish.
Darn thing spend more time in the air than in the water. BTW he was only in about 10 inches of water where stream enters the lake. Lot’s of fun…

Tigers ARE NOT stocked here.

TIGER#4 of Lifetime

Bruce Ristow and I fished the pm today.
Bruce managed big brookie and brown of the day.
He landed 15 fish.

I batted clean up and landed 20
This tiger is my 4th TIGER ever.
