Joni, you’ll have to pry me out of my Nav II:rolleyes::rolleyes::D.

Oh, I agree…oh wait, I don’t have mine anymore:(
That is okay, I have all around it. I have the OLD H3 and the Outlaw.
I do like the Bladderless.

Now i just got to figure out if I want the old H3 or the new Esccape

Think I’m going to shoot myself.

Looks nice… With no canvas outer cover I would worry about taking it to some of the places I go because… SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss !!

Have you seen the waters Dave floats?! Those covers are thick!
Just like the upper end inflatable rafts.
But, anything is possible.

Bladderless toons, tubes are a lot stronger than canvas. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white water canvas raft.

Ive only hat 2 floats so far… Started out with a rig tire inner tube with a lawn chait straped to it ( funny lookin but it worked)… Then recently upgraded to an ODC super sport pontoon thats only been on the water 5 times so far… Is the black things in front of the bags for a set of ores on yours ?

Come on you know she tries everything in the whole world:rolleyes::rolleyes:

They are the oar holders. They go up and down and turn for full movement while rowing.

700 bucks for a float tube???
Whoa.

Cool… Got a website where I can look one over real good ? Can these handle whitewater like the ODC ?

They are not on the North fork Outdoors web site…yet. There are several new additions for 2010, but this one has my interest because of the size, the inflatable floor means floating high and for me , dry. Rowable, inflates quickly.
I will find out the weight on this.

As far as white water…the covers on these are in my opinion far superiour to ODC’s covers. These are heavy duty hides. Same as on his white water rafts.
Don’t get me wrong, your ODC sounds like it works for you, but I am answering about material. Remember, these are only 6’ long too. Plus the rockers on these just scream white water.

very cool looking. he comes up with some really great stuff. if you decide on this new float and want to get rid of your h3, please consider selling it to me. have always lusted after one.

yes they are!!

theyre in the 2010 catalog as well

nice toons but too expensive!

Thanks Normand…expensive? yes, too expensive, no…my 10 years with one and still looks brand new tells me this;)

Nice toon!
I wonder if it would be legal here in CO, though, in lakes where float tubes are legal but toons are not. An officious official tried to give me a hassle here last summer about my Fishcat U-tube – but I only had to show that my *** was wet and he was fine with it.
Does your butt get wet in this toon?
DANBOB

I would think that would have to do with weight. I know in my H3, I am not sitting in the water, but my rear will get wet.
Where the whole bottom is inflatable on these, and depending on where they are connected, I would say there is a good chance you won’t get wet, but that is partially the idea. Less in the water, the faster it will move, plus the fact that allot of people don’t want to get wet.

What is Colorado’s definition of a float tube and what’s they’re definition of a kickboat/pontoon? Call up and ask.
I just checked Colorado’s definition of a float tube. " Float tube means a floating device which suspends a single occupant in the water from the seat down and is not propelled by oars, paddles or motors."
Easy to remedy- take the oars off in waters like that.

The oars are way too short for any real movement other than spinning. It is all trade-offs.
