[b]The TCE first broke the surface on the Tulpehocken in Central Pennsylvania, and has been going strong for several years now. It has been an excellent prospecting pattern for me, akin to what the Adams is to the dry fly.

Looks good. I may have to give it a try – the caddis on the Tulpehocken give me fits at times.

I think, like me, you have so many productive patterns, we are like The Old Woman in the Shoe…we don’t know which to use…?
If you were limited to 3-4 dry and 3-4 wet flies, which of your children would you choose?

If it was a generic 4 flies.
But for me it tends to be 2-3 flies per particular stream.

I’m right with you. never saw a place so touchy with the caddis hatches on either coast.
