The Ray Charles Fly

The pattern can be found on FAOL or Google. I have used this fly in small (for me) sizes like a 16 on trout with success.

My question to you warm water guys is: Do you think this would be productive in larger sizes like a 12 on gills & Crappie?

Thanks

Tim

Try Black.

I’ve used version by Al Campbell called the “Too Simple Ray Charles” a few season back and allot of luck with it on a couple of our local ponds, size #10-12’s. Catch some crappies and SM with it.

Panman, I haven’t tried it, but I think chartreuse would be a good color for 'gills and their tribe.
