Why be hidden when your on FAOL?
I know some prefer “anonymity”(is that a word?)
But is there a reason for being hidden?
I’m just curious.Please don’t take any offense.
I wont even mind if the people who are regularly hidden dont reply here…Maybe it will just turn into a highjack by dougie :lol: :lol: :lol:

I sometimes don’t log-in until I am ready to post or send a PM. So for a while at least I am hidden or more correctly labeled as a ‘guest’.
Fly, information is power. When you give someone personal information, you are giving them power over yourself. For instance, if I had your phone #, I could call and tell your mom you are not doing your homework. With your SSN, someone else OWNS you. I will tell people what they need to know, but why tell everyone everything? Nobody cares what my birthdate is, and few care what town I live in (maybe my ex, which is why it aint in my profile).
As for the chat, that is a glitch in the program. If you delete your cookies, it won’t necessarily stop at the sign-in page on the way in. And I still refuse to go through three or four additional steps logging in just to have it show my name. Also, when I am logged in, it seems to crash on me more often.
By the way, the answer to #5 is 325, not 315.

Well, oh well. Its not me in the animation so they can pick on it all they want…lol
If anyone has problems going into the chat room, this is what I do. I use Firefox browser, many other browsers will do this too, remember your name and password. I select ‘Chat Room’ from the main page of FAOL. That takes me to a page that says, “Click here to enter Chat”. That opens the page which has two options; ‘who’s in the chat’, and ‘login’. I click on ‘login’ and that is all it takes. The room opens up and I am in. Ain’t rocket science great?
JC, I just click on my favorite that says FAOL CHAT and links right to chat/flashchat.php , which saves me many steps and usually brings me in as anon.
As for your animation, fly, it aint moving on my screen. Of course, it is hard to see from cover.
