The Mess -- a picture and tying instructions online?

Any info would be helpful.

A quick Google came back with only one reference in a forum ( http://www.troutnut.com/topic/780 ), stating that is is a pattern found in Gary LaFontaine’s book, “The Dry Fly New Angles.”

Hopefully someone else may have a picture of one that they have tied. It appears to be a fly used in Michigan during the Hex Hatch.

I saw that too, but I’ve seen a drawing of the Mess, and that isn’t a Mess.
