The Magnus

I’m sure many of you have seen this before. I just stumbled across it, and thought it looked worthy of sharing the info.
I think I’ll tie some up soon!

Looks like an efficient fly. Easily tyed. Darned if I didn’t have to use the last of my “eye materials” to fix the stupid ceiling fan! Must get to the hardware store!!

No doubt about it, I will be tying some of those up today! Good looking fly and an easy tie. Thanks for sharing…

cool fly. another wooly bugger variation. :tieone:

i like the “branchu” http://globalflyfisher.com/patterns/branchu/index.php i think i’ll tie it for my blog

Yeah, that Branchu is pretty cool. Dang, gotta tie that one too!

Here’s one I tied from memory last night. I think I messed one material up (confused it with the Branchu hackle)…but close enough for me. I might have to tie up a more accurate one later, though.

I tried the Branchu, as well, from memory.
Dang…now I see I erroneously used a tan-colored mallard flank for the wing. And I tied it in too long anyway.
My memory certainly is a sketchy, seedy creature!

The Branchu is a fishy looking creature

Nice tie Dave

Two excellent Flies there, don’t know how I missed them, I use
Global quite a lot, only problem, I can’t seem to get a reply when
I try to re-register.:(:(:frowning:

A hares ear bugger with grizzly hackle tail… and bead chain eyes. Tie that in size 8-14 and gills will gobble it up.

Neat patterns. Are you fishing them for trout?
Bruce

I haven’t put them in front of any fish yet. They just looked too much like fish CATCHERS to not try to tie them up.

What?? Wait a minute there!! I thought these were guaranteed catchers!! I spent all this time tying up bunches of these guys for a “looked too much like” … oh, man …

Well, I can’t have you being disappointed with those flies you tied, Betty. Send 'em to me. I’ll pay the postage.
