Well, it seems like spring is finally here in Alberta. Consistenly nice weather is forecast for a while, and the fish are responding well. It’s so nice to look forward to the upcoming year of fishing!
Here is a picture of my friends rainbow today, it was his personal best rainbow taping at 25 inches from the Bow river. I just thought I’d share his special moment with you all! Enjoy!
Bowcrow …nice fish … I’m green with envy. Leave some there for the rest of us . I have kin in Calgary and hope to get over there this summer . I have many times driven pass the bow and never fished there . How dumb is that ? I used to live on the pembina right where it goes into the athabee . Good fishing there but we hardly ever fished . To busy farming .
Don’t count winter over yet , I’m in the Okanagan and we have had cold weather move in here all this week with tons of moisture . Rain , hail , and snow higher up . I am sending it your way . Ha Ha …
not to rain on your parade but to float your fishes all summer .
Everytime you post I kick myself for leaving Alberta. One more year and I can go back…
Don’t plan on having nice weather for opening week in June. I’ll be back visiting and beacause I’m bringing my rod I expect a late june blizzard on all the Eastern Slope waters… .
Very nice fish!

Thanks guys. He was a pretty happy guy. We went again today and it was really good again, though it got pretty cold and windy in the afternoon, so I am at home now at 3PM.
I’ll plan on taking the family for a vacation that week then Paul, thanks for the heads up!
