The Go To Fly Swap

I know it’s trout season, but everyone could use a good swap. I intend that everyone who joins, which will be 12 people including myself, will tye the fly that they use when nothing will work. This fly can be a well-known fly, your own creation, dry fly, nymph, etc. Just send me the fly that WORKS! The first 11 people who sign up can e-mail me at paflyfishn@yahoo.com for my address. I hope to have people signed up and the flies shipped out by July 1st. Remember to send a S.A.S.E. or money for postage, and remember extra flies for the swapmeister are always encouraged . God Bless and good luck fishing.

THESE FLIES WOULD BE FOR TROUT IN NORMAL STREAM SETTINGS.

Do you want flies that work for still water or moving water (streams/rivers)? Trout, Salmon, warm water species? If you could give a few more specifics it would be helpful. Thanks.

thanks dkb2 for the suggestion it is now changed

A new swap! I was going thru withdrawal after Ron Eagle Elk’s long beginner’s swap ended last month.

Count me in, if that’s OK. I have a go-to fly in mind, for Colorado and Wyoming streams.

DANBOB

I’ll join in, and add something that Idaho trout will like.

I would like to get in if possible with my version of the Lady’s Fish Finder, I have great luck with this fly here. Thanks John

I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

Can I get in with my Griffiths Gnat? Thanks bonnie

Hmmmm… With much thinking and deliberation over a single malt, I think I’ll do my version of a Pheasant Tail nymph. We can call it the Idaho Pheasant Tail since it really doesn’t have an official name at home.

I’ll join…I have a simple deer hair that always produces. It is called a 30 second. Appologies to anyone that already has one from another swap

Barry

Glad you posted this swap…I was just thinking about one of these. Thanks, Barry

I would like to get in on this one. My go to fly is the Cutter perfect ant.

Cliff

Cliff Austin

I’ll try this one with a soft hackle.

Ok can not pass this one up. I will play if you let me with a zebra midge or maybe a soft hackle

Antron Midge

…fly tying is the next best thing to fishing; it is the sort of licking of the lips that eases a thirsty man in the desert

If the women don’t find you handsome:
They should at least find you handy

I am confused I did not mention my neighbor. They are not entering this swap. John

I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

sorry bassman it has been a long two days and I have confused the two e-mails. DAN BOB said his neighboor may be interested.

No problem at all Trent. You are doing a good job of hosting this swap. By the way my flies went in the mail to you today. Thanks again for letting me join in on this swap. I included extra for the Swapmeister. Also littlebassy is my daughter and her flies will be in the mail Tuesday or Wednesday. John

Yes, count my neighbor Ken in. We share internet access, so I’m trying to set up his new email account right now (the board won’t let him sign up under mine). Will update here in a few minutes.
