I just went to the lake today for 3 hours. My old friends are back. Caught 10-12 good size gills and had 4 bass follow but not strick my fly. I have been going to the lake for three weeks solid but the water temperture and turbidity was off for the fish to respond.
But today they are back and what a great feeling it is.
The season has begun!!!
We just had a few for supper tonight. The first for the year!

I went out yesterday from noon until 7:30 and had a blast. Ended the day with around 60 redears, some really big ones, and 20 bass, 17 on topwater poppers. No huge bass, but one was around 2.5lbs. First good day in a long time and can’t wait until the bass really turn on. All my bass were caught on poppers and hoppers and made and designed by Buddy. Man that man has some awesome flies. Thanks Buddy
