The Fish Won 3 - 2

When I catch more fish than I lose flies I say I won. Yesterday the fish won, on a technicality, all three flies were on the same line.
But if it was a trout, and I think it was, I found the lair of the largest trout I have ever seen on the Hooch. I mark the location, besides a large log sunk in 8 ? 10 ft. of water. I would appreciate your best advice on getting the come up to visit for a brief moment.
I also spotted a very large white carp. Not a white amur, bottom dwelling scum sucker that is mostly white.

The same fly it took last time on a stronger leader?

White carp…albino? Or large white Koi? Either way, its worth catching!

Drop a 4" or so unweighted marabou leech pattern in there, say on a size 4 streamer hook and let me know if anything happens. Could be a big brown and they do so love a big tasty leech.
2X or even 1X tippet would be advised in case your big trout decides to dart back into cover. With the 2X or better, you’ll have a chance of turning her out of there. How big is big if i may ?

Moose it was 8 - 12 ft. below me but I am guessestimating it around 18 in. long, which is larger than any trout I have ever convinced to come for a closer view of me.

Well i for one would have to go back there and lay back a bit and toss something in there. They say that if you can see the trout, they can see you and that
might put them down. Might be a case for some stealth and planning.

Luck,
