Never seem to time it right but we finally hit a decent hatch here last summer:
Bugs were doing it in the streamside bushes and crawling all over us (really had to fight the temptation to whack one when it climbed on my neck; that would have been tragic for the bug and made a real mess).
None of us were prepared for them but we got by with golden stones and big hoppers. This year I’ll have some of these
Summer can’t come soon enough.
