Thanks Lady

Ladyfisher,
Thank you for the wonderful reminder to stop and smell the roses. I love the word hooky. I am a teacher of 42 years, starting my 43rd this year and have not seen a school year without school since I was 4 years old. I remind my parents that they have an obligation to take their child on a school-less outing (i.e. hooky) at least once a year (and it shouldn’t be to a manufactured theme park either!). Of course we know that HRH Betty would have preferred the white cheddar crackers for her gulls.

I see the Sebring made it out to play also. Has its latest travails been settled by your friends at Liberty Mutual? I surely hope so.

Thanks again.

Hugs,
Mark

Forgive me (it’s me) here, we both had a grand time. The car did get repaired, but the problems continued but were resolved. For instance, they refused to pay the full amount of the estimate, forgot (?) to fax the ‘OK’ to the shop and dragged their heels sending payment.

It does appear the day of hooky was well appreciated by ALL in attendance!

It is truly fun to let the little girl in you loose! And to see that aspect in someone you love. We know the gulls enjoyed it, and it was great fun for us to be included, too. Thank you!

If white cheddar cheez-its were involved, those birds wouldn’t stand a chance for flight! They’d waddle over and rip 'em out of your hand!
HRH Betty

You two need to do things like that more often.

Rick

Yes a wonderful article. Reminds me of approximately 20% of my school days.

A caution for Jim. I lived on the ocean and often drove on the beach. It can come back to haunt you when the salt and metal join to form rust. An ordinary hose will not hunt down all the salt you need to take it to a car wash and get rid of the salt with a high pressure wash.
