Thanks Flats Dude

Your article, “So That’s Entertainment” took me back a lot of years. (about 50) I remember learning to drive in a 1951 Chevy with a 3-speed on the column. I also remember when I was a kid, how much I wanted to grow up and be my own man. Now, I pine for the simpler days of youth. Life is truely a circle, and your article took me back to the start of mine. Much thanks, it was a great trip.

Thanks for your kind words, Joe. Our old Buick had a huge V-8 and 3 speed on the column…The speedomenter would change colors from green, to orange then red the faster it would go. They just don’t make 'em like that anymore. Wish they did.

My dad had a '55 Buick at one time. It had the same type speedometer, but I don’t remember the colors. I do remember that it was in that car that my body first travelled over 100 mph. I was a great car.
