Sure good to hear from you.

Folks here is one good man. You may see a for sale post on a rod…but it may not be there long because it is already sold. So I copied it to here.

Orvis Silver Label 7’ 2pc. 5wt. rod-Like New!

Reason? Elkhunter sent this exact same rod to my wife when she was dying of cancer, PLUS a Gold Supreme Reel Lined and ready for her. A total stranger sent this to here and wished her an early return to the stream! You see what this rod sold for …withing hours of being posted!

What a gracious big big man you are Rocky. I will never forget seeing her walk around the house, bald headed, jowls sagging, with a walker…taking slow steps…with that rod gripped in her right hand holding the walker and a grin from ear to ear. I can’t say any more now. I’ve lost it.

I want all you FAOL friends and family to know what a generous and sincere and gracious man Elkhunter is. He’s the greatest.

ROD HAS BEEN SOLD!

Orvis Silver Label Full Flex 5.5, 7’ 2pc. 5wt. rod in pristine condition in cloth bag with green cordura rod tube. Since I usually use my 8’ rod, this 7’ rod has rarely been used except on one special small stream to which I am invited once or twice a year. Condition of rod/case is like new. Included is the Orvis warrantee card which has not been filled out.

I would like $195 + $10 shipping for the rod, Paypal or MO, please.

Thank you for those kind words Jim. I remember you sending me a message about your wife walking around with her walker holding the rod. Reading about it again has brought tears to my eyes. It does my heart good to know I was able to put a smile on her face.

You not only put a smile…actually a big wide grin from ear to ear…
You gave her renewed hope! You can get pretty low battling cancer. You boosted her spirits and sir…it was all worth it. “Priceless” If you only knew how much your actions boosted her spirits. Some people will just never know how huge an impact their actions have had on others.

I’m losing it again.
