tfo tricr vs tricr x

which one should i get for 9 wt, i have a hardy reel 9-10, with rio versi tip line size 9.
thanks

I don’t think anyone can answer that for you. I asked a TFO Sales rep about the difference between the two and got back some mumbo-jumbo about parabolic and the X.

But the bottom line that I got out of that discussion was that you have to cast them both and see which one you like.

The X is much stiffer then the Ticr. The X has a lot more power in the butt, and is more of a true saltwater rod. I would only consider the X if you want a very stiff action rod. They cast great, as long as you like a stiff rod.

I have a TiCrX in an 8wt and love it. It is great for making long casts and you can really carry a lot of line in the air if needed. I chose it over the TiCr after casting both because I just liked the feel of it more. I would however reccomend you go to your local fly shop and try both out however to see which model you prefer. That is really the best way for you to make a decision. Anyway hope this helps.
