viewtopic.php?f=24&t=15195

are you prepared for the responsibility of being a swapmeister??

is this swap OK with your parents??

augest 20th is a bit soon for the deadline, may i recomend mabie september 10th, with a deadline to get them in as october 10th?

ok sorry :frowning: but i am a teen ager who tends to get in a hurry so september 1st is the sign up dead line septmber30th is the new deadline for sending them in  i am new to this so if im rushing or not doing things right please tell me and i will reply as soon as possible

i am only 1 year older than you, so i under stand you, but i recomend to slow down at the beginning and do you have any reacords on any other forums? Also, i would not really chose that username cause what happens when you turn 14? lol.

im 15 so i understand what its like but i would suggest slowing down a bit and joining a swap first before starting youre own just so you can get the feel of things. im gonna start my own swap soon so you could jump in that one if you want to. also, make sure you read the swapping info bulletin. itll help you alot.

well im 14 and i also suggest to SLOW DOWN!

get some posts up, and maybe even change your username…like jz said. what happens when you turn 14?!

hehe, lol yea…

flytying13yearold, what everyone has said so far are good suggestions. It is tough to conduct a swap if you have never been in one. Also when you give deadline dates, give enough time to respond and also enough time to tie flies and enough time for the postal system to work with you. I like seeing new swap host get started. But you should take the suggestions that are given. Read about some of the swap and learn how they are run. You also need to give better instructions for your swap. Above all else make sure it is ok with your parents if you give out your mailing address over the internet.

Swaps can be a lot of fun. But find out about them a lot, so you will have fun with them.

Communications is one of the most important things in a swap.

Just my 2 cents John

bassman, and everyone else is right. I just completed hosting my first swap, and it was a learning experience. They are a bit more work than what you may think, but well worth it nonetheless.

If you are still going to do it, I’d like to join.

Semper Fi!

i am still goin for it

Why?

tennesseeflies will not be in this

Due to the fact that in everyones opinion i am not ready i am cancelling this swap sorry to anyone who is upset
I kinda am to. :frowning:

Dont take it to heart! Do yourself a favor and join a few swaps first. Im a newbie myself and want to host a swap but Im trying to get some swaps under my belt first.
