I recently cut up a nice tanned Whitetail deer hide and now have a huge mess of small “edge” pieces from the upper legs and belly. The hair is fine, quite short and contains a lot of white. Is there any popular use for this beyond Deer Hair Caddis type flies?
I think i know the hair you are referring to. It works well for smaller wulff and hairwing patterns.
