I like using squirrel tail, particularly the grey squirrel. I find that it is somewhat slick so I usually wrap the thread around it twice then use thinned SHHAN and then more thread wraps. Very seldom get fibers pulling out. Nice flies.

Did that squirrel make a mistaken visit to a bird feeder before becoming a streamer?

Thanks for your comments. The trim shows up yellow on the pix but are actually orange. I like the orange better. Easy tie.
