I’m curious to find out if there is any problem storing a rod in its tube with the lid tighten down.

Just make certain both the rod and the sock are dry. I think this is especially true with bamboo.

Ditto on what tyeflies said.
Putting even a graphite or fiberglass rod away in a tightly closed tube wet or damp can cause the coating on some wraps to get foggy.
I leave all my rods out of the tube & sock after fishing regardless of the weather until the following day before putting them back in their tubes.
