Stone Fly Swap

This swap is closed!

Last year, I hosted my first Stone fly swap. I was trying to learn as much as I could about Stone Flies before my move out west from AR. The swap helped a BUNCH. As a matter of fact, I caught my first Montana trout on a Stone fly nymph tied by Wet Fly Guy. Since moving here, I have learned several great new Stone patterns and I’m looking for more! It seems like most of my “secret weapons” come from these swaps. Sooooo, I would like to host another Stone fly swap open to any species and any stage of their life cycle. Swap open to 10 tiers. Sign up by 4-1-05 and flies due by 5-1-05. This should give us plenty of time. I will be tying a great Yellow Sally pattern I learned a couple weeks ago. Thanks to all!!! Scott

I’m in. Either my skwalla from fly of the week or a salmonfly.

Well, the swap is full and we have some GREAT tyers!!! I’m really looking forward to this. The swap did fill sooner than the date but I think we should keep the due date the same to give us plenty of time to tie and finish up with other swaps we are in. Have fun! Scott

salovin, I need your shipping addy so I can send my flies to you. If you don’t want to put it here please email it to me. Thanks for letting me join in on this swap. John

Scott, my flies are in the mail and on there way to you. Thanks again for letting me join in on this swap. John

I wish you everlasting flies and tight lines.

bassman, I received your flies in the mail this weekend. That looks like a fly that you would want to tie a bunch of and you would be able to do it fast! Great Simple Small Stone. Scott

salovin, your right on all counts, it is easy to tie, I have about 3 dozen of them and they catch a lot of fish. It onlytakes about a couple of mins to tie one. Thanks again for letting join in your swap. John
