I’ve been very busy for a the last couple of years but recently I done a little fishing and a little tying. I want to host a stimulator swap…your favorite stimmie. I will limit this to a total of 12 tiers (including myself). Flies due by October 1st. SASE, toetags required, when finished pm me and I will send you my mailing address…I will tie my go to stimulator the “Prism Stimulator”. (old timers should remember me…for the newer folks…see my pattern in FOTW Dec 10th 2007).

I’d like to join your swap. I don’t actually know the name of the stimulator I tie, but it’s got a yellow abdomen and an orange head with brown and grizzly and deer body hair. It’s one of the many that work on our waters in Delaware.

Allan you are reading my mind…I will leave this open through the weekend last day to sign up will be Monday (labor day) sept 5th. I would say tie no more than 12 (if we get to 6 that would be 2 flies per person. One to fish and one to keep :slight_smile: )

I’m not sure if this is worth the cost of admission. There are only 4 swappers if I counted right.

Allan you have counted right…

We can go one of three ways

  1. 8 flies total that way we get 1 to keep and 1 to fish
  2. We can tie two different patterns (I will will let the second be your choice)
  3. Cancel all together ( I still think one or two is the way to go…keep in mind if we have a person or two drop that kind of dictates what the rest of us will do)

So what’s your vote, majority will decide…LET ME KNOW ASAP

As I said in my PM, I’m game for tying 8. If the vote is for two flies, I’ll have to go with a Renegade variant.

Do we have a consensus on how we will proceed? I’m done with my flies (8) for the original swap. I just need an address to mail to and a final decision.

Well, I had completed the flies for this swap and was hoping there’d be more participation. The swapmeister emailed that he was figuring how to procede based on a vote of the participants. While I voted that it would be best to just forget the whole thing, I will go along with the idea of 2 flies for each participant if that is the majority vote. I will not however, tye an additional 2 flies per swapper of another pattern.
Oh, WCCNovice, if there are 4 participants, we only have to send in 6 flies.

I heard from everyone and we will go with number 1…8 flies total…which means you only have to send 6 (you won’t get yours back). I’ll pm my address shortly. Don’t forget Self addressed stamped envelope, crush proof container and toe tags.
