Greetings anglers! It’s been quite a while since I’ve lurked here and probably longer since I’ve had a fly rod in my hands. (GASP I know, shameful) I’ve been doing mostly conventional fishing and we also moved from Texas to Louisiana and I’ve started to get the itch to break out the fly gear again. I found my old Danvise buried in some boxes, found a couple of fly boxes as well that still have flies, dusted off my old 4 piece rods, and pulled out my trusty reels. Almost felt like a kid at Christmas. I look forward to the tug of a bluegill or, perhaps, even a bass on the end of my line again. The years haven’t changed my love, and the simplistic purity, of fly fishing.

Well, the best thing you can do for your ‘itch’ is to head out to a pond or any water and cast away with the old fly rod. Who knows what you may catch.Have fun.Larry —sagefisher—
