I took a friend out earlier this week because he wanted to paddle one of my Native Watercraft Ultimate 14.5s. Before I knew it, he was standing. The Ultimate is a great boat. Very stable. It is fast and tracks impressively. It’s a real advantage to be able to stand when paddling over the flats, looking for redfish and snook.
I’ve paddled quite a few kayaks in my time and the Ultimate is my favorite.
It’s actually very easy in the Native Ultimate. My friend, Ken Taylor of North Port, FL, loved his first trip in the boat. Said it was extremely easy to paddle and tracked ultra-straight.
The Native is one of the best fly-fishing kayaks out there. I highly recommend it.
Now you have me wishing for a Native kayak to compliment my Revolution. I think being able to stand & paddle would be a great when hunting tailing carp.
