St. Croix CLA678 fly reel

Today I bought this reel at a local sporting shop.
It’s the first Large Arbour reel I have ever owned.
I usually buy stuff in the winter related to fishing as this with fly tying fights the “NO FISHING” blues,

Anyway it was cheap listed price was 64.95 and tax [canadian money = dirt, ] but I got it for 60 tax included.
Anyone use this and have an opinion, good or bad, thanks Mike

I have one and have used it for one season.
I have no complaints

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - “WOW-What a Ride!”
Don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out alive.

Thanks, I did notice it wasn’t greased real well, so I got her good and lubed up now.
Nice simple yet firm drag.
For those interested in the reel just hit the sponsors link up in the corner for “issue sponsored by”, open the st. croix link, scroll down, its the premier reel.
It’s really quite nice for the price, really nice.

later
Mike
