Found a pic on Pinterest; lots of different ones out there, but thought this was interesting.

hook - Mustad 79580 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 red
rib - small oval tinsel silver
rear body - tinsel silver
front body - peacock herl
throat - mallard flank
hackle - red
wing - squirrel tail
topping - peacock herl

Part 1

mash barb, start thread at 2/3 point; tie in rib, wrap to bend, return to tie-in

tie in tinsel, wrap to bend and back; tie off/trim

rib body, tie off/trim

tie in peacock herl, twist around thread, wrap forward to 1 eye width from eye, tie off/trim

prep flank feather, Defeo style; flip hook over, tie in pull forward 'till tips reach point, tie off/trim

Part 2

tie in (folded) hackle by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

stroke fibers down/back (that’s paint from the kitchen cabinets I’m re-finishing - Benjamin Moore Advance (Palace White)), cover with thread

measure (tips just past bend) a clump of squirrel tail, trim, dose butts with Sally, tie in

top with a few peacock herls

whip finish, SHHAN
