Good fishing. Mostly stockers caught but saw some decent-sized fish. A very good float on a kayak from Dam 3 to Riverside Lodge. Some very nice runs in that stretch. Not much rising going on but we managed 46 fish in a day and a half. Also an excellent run behind the (??) Motel in Mammoth Springs.
Highly recommend finding a fly called the “brownie”. Thanks to Mark at Spring River Fly shop for his hospitality and trust.
Interesting reading. Google “Spring river, Arkansas”. The river starts in Mammoth Springs from a 9-million-gallon-per-hour spring!! Pretty cool area. Funny to see a river start in one spot.
