Sorta/kinda Mother?s Day Caddis, if you don?t look too closely.

hook - WFC Model 3 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
shuck - Congo Hair chartreuse
body - biot olive
thorax - dubbing olive
post - UTC 140 olive
hackle - barred olive
head/wing - Congo Hair grey

Part 1

Start thread at 3/4 mark, tie in CH, fold, wrap to bend; trim

Tie in (moistened) biot, notch-side down for ribbed effect

Brush a little Super Glue on top of the shank; wrap biot, tie off/trim, finish thread at 2/3 mark

Tie in thread loop

Tie in hackle at base, hook loop onto gallows

Wrap hackle up the loop ?till distance = front of thorax, then back down to base

Part 2

Tie off hackle at base; trim

Stroke hackle fibers back

Dub thorax

Put a loop in a hank of CH; tie in with loop over eye, wrap back to thorax, splitting the trailing ends

Add a little more dubbing; take a few wraps in front of the loop to set the angle

Pull the hackle forward; tie down at base of head

Part 3

Half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim loop tag ends, trim head/wings
