Tied here in basic black; change colors to suit your needs.

hook - Dai Riki 135 #16
thread - Danville 6/0 black
body - dubbing black
post - Uni-stretch black
hackle - grizzly
wing - Congo Hair white

Part 1

mash barb, start thread, wrap to point above barb

dub abdomen (missed that purple guard hair); thread wraps for thorax

tie in Uni-stretch loop

tie in hackle

tie in wing in front of post

attach loop to gallows, wrap hackle up & down post (length of head); tie off at base of post/trim

Part 2

dub head

moisten fingers, sweep hackle fibers back

pull hackle forward over head, tie off at base of wing (trim off tag end of post); half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim wing
