Spent Wings?....Long over...thanks all!

Thinking of a fly variation I haven’t done before, is there any interest in doing a spinner swap?

No commitment on your part JZ but I just needed one reply.
So my 1st swap…spent wings only criteria…1 1/2 months from now and open to as many or as few and of course follow through…

If possible I would like to switch to A.K Best’s Spent Caddis. I have a bunch of pretty mallard flank that would really do the job nicely. Many of our local caddis are gray so mine will match them.

I’m afraid I’ve been semi incapacitated with soft tissue injuries and bone contusions for the last week.
I won’t know until after an MRI early next week if recovery will be short or long term so please bear with me.
Unless one of you wants to host the swap, I’ll have to put it on hold for now.

Things are getting better but unfortunately it looks like I’ll be able use a lawn mower before I use a fly rod again. :lol:
Swap is back on with an absolute due date of 10 June.
I’ll PM my address to those signed up in a day or so.
Hope fishing has been good!

Glad to see they made it, and that you are feeling better. I fished in a veritable storm of gray caddis yesterday, but I never needed to tie on a spent wing. The holdover rainbows were all over my size 14 and 12 deer hair caddis. Caught my first fish on a self tied fly too. What an excellent feeling that was! Of course I lost the few I had in my box, those darn trees! so it is back to the vise.
