We got a good 2 inches throughout the day. Never saw it coming. So I decided to go to my creek and see how it was doing. And much to my suprise, its iced over AND covered in the 2 inches of snow!
Here its normally slow water
But this part is always fast

And heres the waterfall, it froze UP TO it.
thought It would only freeze over if they won. Just kidding. Nice pics. Jim
it really is beautiful - nice photos, hang onto them!
Jones Falls?
We’ve gotten snow three days straight
Yesterday, I was out cross-country skiing when I saw a little brown creature bounding through deep snow, not getting far.
While I was watching, this little mouse finely found it’s way into my ski track and couldn’t get back out
He ran toward me, up the track, on to my ski…and took refuge behind my boot. Happy to be on solid ground I guess
He didn’t take off until I did
Pretty funny
Good guess, Gwynns falls. That used to be one of 2 bridges connecting silver creek to the other side.
Right on. JF has some decent fishin, BTW, up above LR…in case you’ve never been up there. Spent almost 10 yrs in B’more, sure do miss it some days.
Thanks for keeping it on your side of the bridge
Beautiful Pictures,…thanks.
Love those winter shots…but the cold!
Here is the SNOW (crystalizing) by the river:
Then there is the river here in the Wasatch Front:
BUT, it can always be colder on the other side…
Nice pics folks!
Eric,
Nice pics as well, but what is the structure in the second one?
Nothing scenic, just the kids first snow. He just washed his ears and can’t do a thing with them.
REE
Not to hijack panfisha’s thread but: Gosh REE, the pup is getting big. regards, Jim
Great to see all the pics… We have had down to o weather temps, (temps I just don’t fish in) and had a young feller knock on my door the other morning as I was getting ready for work to show me a 5lb some odd ounce rainbow he just caught 3 min. from where I live. Show off…lol He had no waders on but did have cover alls on with boots and decided to wade out a bit so he wouldn’t loose the fish… I said to him I guess your still warm cause your blood is pumping so hard from the excitement, he laughed and said yeah, he was satnding in my door way so proud, can’t say I blame him, that’s the largest trout I’v seen down here even if it was caught on a spinning rod…
REE,
That is one cute pup and I love the photo! The structure you asked about is the Moore Performing Arts Pavilion at Little Buffalo State Park. It is an open air amphitheater. Lots of fun to go fly fishing and take in a free play or band for a day.
