Morne -
Good to see you back and posting pics for us to enjoy !!
The last one in the first post ( “fish on” ) is especially neat. Is that you with the rod and fish, or were you doing the camera work ??
Lots of great places you’re showing - and wizard’s question is not really out of the question. When my wife was looking at the pics, she made the same observation about Arizona and New Mexico, even knowing that you’re coming to us from South Africa. A couple of the pics could even be SE Oregon.

Morneb,
Not at all boring! Beautiful photos of a beautiful country! Thanks.
Beautiful terrain and water indeed. A friend bought an olive plantation in S.A. and showed me pics asking me to guess where. Was wrong as I would have been wrong on yours.
For what species are you angling? How long is the season? What flies?
Nice fishing pictures!
Thanx for taking us along…
Thanks guys. Some more for you.
I think he was waiting for me to catch him some lunch.
Some bugs
Anyone got a pattern I can try?
Our streams in flood at beginning of the season.
Some flies.
In what region of SA are those streams? Are they to the south of Kruger National?
What snakes must one be looking out for while hiking in and fishing those streams?
Is that country inhabited by cobras, adders, and mombas?
Thatis one great set up with the truck/ tent/ shelter/ cooking.
… and fridge with ice cold beer:D We camp and travel allot over weekends and often just end up stopping somewhere for the night. This setup helps allot for that. Also got a shower and portable toilet in there somewhere.
These pictures are just outside Cape Town, which is quite a way south of the Kruger National park. We have some beautiful streams throughout SA though. It tends to be to hot for trout as high north as the KNP, but there is some stunning Yellow fish fishing and Tiger fish fishing to be done there.
Where we fish its mostly Puff(?) adders that you have to watch out for.
