If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is
not for you.
ducksterman;
Never thought jumping out of a perfectly good airplane was a smart move!! And, It’s not the fall it’s the sudden stop!!
Jack,
After 23 1/2 years as an Army paratrooper, I can honestly say that I have never seen a perfectly good airplane. Most times I was glad to get out half way through the flight.

REE, …
Even if it’s “defective”, … I would rather rappel or winch, … Jumpin’ is just so, … definitive
(Remember, even army parachutes ARE made by the lowest bidder )

REE-During the big war we had a civilian packer that always wanted to go along when we tested a few chutes with dummies for weight. I learned to keep my eye on him because he would jump. He always said he fell out. Talked me into jumping a few times–as usual he said if the chute didn’t work bring it back.
Bill
There is nothing wrong with jumping.Just always know who packed your chute.Thats why I hated jump school when I was in.I didn’t pack the chute.But I did before and after that school.
