I’ve been scouring the archives here for an hour looking for this fly that someone posted in a thread sometime in December for bluegill. Beadhead, white hackle behind the BH, all followed with three red beads as a “tail.” Used it yesterday while ice fishing and it was our only successful pattern. Tied it on #14 hook. Can’t wait to use it “normal.” So, to whoever posted, thanks. Also, a few weeks ago someone posted about a fly called “The Briminator”. Try as I might, I found recipes but no pictures by googling. Could someone post a picture of one? thanks. JGW

Hook: Long Shank, Straight Eyed #12
Thread: Black 6/0
Tail: Flamed Orange Thread
Body: Red Beads
Hackle: Dun
Head: Gold Metal Bead
It was posted in a thread where I asked about another beaded fly and some one suggested the multi-beaded Ryan’s Butt. It has worked for me also. I tied it with red glass craft beads and it came out kind of lumpy since craft beads are not really round. The fish don’t seem to mind though.

I feel closer to HIM when I’m fishing.

That Ryan’s Butt looked “bluegillerkiller” to me so I tied up a box full and even tried one last month but had no takers on it nor anything else. come on SPRING!
