The 1st pic is a 10 incher taken 2 weeks ago on my St Croix 2pc 3wt Legend Ultra

These next 2 are the 11 incher I got today with my “new to me” St Croix 2pc 4wt Legend Ultra that I recently purchased from FAOL’s Darryl (the rod’s baptism with me!). I teamed it with a Pflueger Trion reel, Sage Performance Taper line, & my own simple white foam spider. Here’s the fishy…

I caught MANY 'gills between 7 1/2" & 9" today, but the one pictured above was the star of the day. All in all, quite a fine start for my latest LU!

bet they are some scrappy liddle guys.

I’ve been hitting 'gills hard for the last 3 years, and haven’t seen a 10-incher yet. And you got an 11? VERY WELL DONE!!!

This one is my THIRD 11"+ 'gill in the last 2 years…and this season has just started. Guess I’m just a victim of “dumb luck”…the GOOD kind.

I’m sure you WILL Tim…You’ll be pleased to know that we have to “navigate” an electric fence too…You’re familiar with those, right?! :wink:
