I’ve had a run of good luck with big bluegills lately. I don’t think I have caught any 10 inchers but some have been dangerously close.

Sorry if this post doesn’t look quite right but I ran into some problems with it.
Very nice of fish! They are fun to catch. 
10 inchers are extremely rare in public waters around here. If you can find 8" and above, you’re doing WELL!

Two of those gills came last Sunday during the fly club’s one fly contest at a public pond near Sioux City. We caught at least 6 bluegills in the nine inch and above category and probably more. Nobody caught huge numbers of fish but what they lacked in quantity they made up for in quality.
Can you think of a better way to spend the day? Nice fish! Looks like fun.
