When the news asked Tim later, why he didn’t say something while they were there, he just said, “I was just doing my job”.

Very nice. Pass on the admiration of just a random guy on the internet!
You should be proud. We all should be, which is good cause we are very proud of them both!
Congratulations on raising some great men. If they aren’t careful they will give government employees a good reputation.
Betty, Pass on my THANKS for serving and a hearty WELL DONE!!!
Every kid deserves a great mom teaching him how to be a success. Well done, Betty!

I want to add a big DITTO to what is being said most notable the mom thing!
Hey … I wasn’t the one to run into a burning house!! If you watch the video of raw footage, the baby he saved is shown. She’s absolutely beautiful. I’m so proud!Thank you all! I will pass this along to Tim and Rich.
Thumbs up here Betty. I know from sad experience what it’s like to be in a burning building, and it isn’t fun. There were eight of us in my house when a new dryer didn’t turn off, and caught the house on fire. Fortunately we all made it out with minor scuffs, flashburns, smoke inhalation, and psychic trauma. Most escaped through windows, and my #1 son had to be pulled out through a small basement window. I learned the value of a good fire department that morning. Tell the boys they did good.
You bet they did good!
Betty,
Tim is making a “Habit” of "Just doing his job.

Mark
Betty … .pass on a “Well Done”
… ps … The couple woke up to the sound of crackling and the smell of smoke!!! Geez, … I have to suppose that they didn’t have smoke detector.
It is amazing how many people do not have smoke alarms in their homes, or if they do, use the batteries for other purposes, and don’t replace them, especially in the inner city. After a fire, the fire department goes around giving out smoke alarms to the surrounding areas. Occasionally, they will be found in the boxes, somewhere in the house, after the FD responds to a fire in their home!
If you got 'em, use 'em. If you don’t got 'em, get 'em!
I do not know what the situation was in that particular home, other than the fire was what woke them.
Well once again Tim does it. He is one of few officers you hear good things about, and multiple times to boot.
