A fly I tied last weekend:
Hook: TMC 2488, size 14
Body: Underfur from a snow-shoe-rabbit leg
Rib: Krystal Flash, pearl
Wing: A bunch of Snow-shoe-rabbit hairs, tied upright
Some underfur was dubbed in a loop and tied round the base of the wing to give it a rough appearance.
I used a 2488 hook, in order to let the wide gap of the hook to balance the wing and let it float in an upright position.

I tie something really similar to that, but I add a little bit as a tail for shuck and also I will tie the wing pointing backwards a little bit. It is a great pattern though. A little trick to fishing it is let it sit right in the surface film and as you are floating over the fish give it a twitch and let it go under the surface, give it a little slack and let it pop back to the surface and then hold on cause it is going to get hammered.
