I don’t know if i’m the only one who JUST figured this out… maybe I am.
when you go to the bottom of the index page and it says" who is online" click on that…and another page comes up listing everyone who is online… AND what they are doing… Whether that be they are on the index page, replying to a topic, viewing a forum, viewing a certain topic, or composing a PM!
I thought it was pretty cool, Even though I’m probably the last person to figure this out…
Rusty,
Speaking of OLD socks!, When my parents got married more than 50 yrs ago, my Dad was used to his Mother darning his socks by putting a light bulb in the holy sock and sewing the hole shut!!
One day, early in my parents marriage!, my Dad made the almost FATAL mistake of asking my Mother to darn his socks!! You can guess what her answer was!!
He never asked that question EVER again!

On my computer THAT utility doesn’t seem to work. I’m not that curious as to what YOU’RE doing on line anyway. I personally prefer anonymity. I opted to not have my name posted when browsing this site. I’d rather have y’all think “he’s probably hard at work” than squandering time trying to beat DShock et al in post numbers. Actually I’m surprised more have not opted for this option.
Doug,
As a “W” spying analogy, the prudent way to purchase a bushel of apples is to check ALL of them for the rotten one. I personally, have nothing to hide anyway so spy away at me.
Mark,
“I personally prefer anonymity” Were all a family here, I thought?
As far as beating me on most posts! I’ve been competitive and around competitive people all my life and how many posts I or anyone else has is stupid! What do you think I’m shooting for? a gold watch?
I’m concerned everyone’s penchant for anonymity is going too far. What is the problem? Is FAOL not secure enough? If you didn’t post your E-Mail on your profile, then what possibly would make a person nervous about being here?
Peace,
Doug
Anonymity on the Internet? Too late! Soon as you signed up with an isp and went on the web you made it possible for certain agencies to track you. No, this did not just happen after 9/11 either. Been going on for quite some time.
Yes there are certain things you should do to protect yourself on the web. If the most advanced system in the world can be hacked in minutes just imagine all the longer it takes a knowledgeable, determined entity to hack our systems for information. You won’t know they are there until it’s too late.
What’s going on - it doesn’t work for me… I see that “who is on line” bit but cannot click on it… There’s a list of people next to it but I can only click on each of those separately…
