Smallie flies (for beginners?) FLIES MAILED!

I am just a few weeks into my new hobby, but I am already hooked. (I’ll bet that pun has never been used before  ).
With the months of May and June coming soon, a swap for smallie flies might be fun.
I will tie a dozen of Al Campbell’s [url=http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/fotw2/052801fotw.html:a1040]Crappie Candy[/url:a1040] in size 6.
If we can get a dozen tiers I would be thrilled.
PM me with your choice and I will reply with my mailing address.

I’m not a beginner, but how about a white disco yarn conehead combo. The smallies loved it last spring on the Oswego River. dan gober

I am a beginner and have been waiting for a swap Im confident enough to join. Sign me up. I will get back to you shortly on a fly.

Yeah, I didn’t know what the protocol was, but I thought that I had seen at one time beginner swaps posted. Thanks for signing up folks.Danny that conehead combo looks like a killer.

I know that folks need some smallmouth flies. The rivers will be opening up soon!

I’m a begineer 1yr that just tied the honey shrimp on GFF that i would love to trade 3 for three. I substituted a little email me and i’ll send you a pic 1st.

clodev,

Thanks for joining. Hopefully we will get some more folks to sign on.

Got them done. I’ll wait for the cut off to send

Excellent clodev. Dan generously offered a second set. (Flashdancer his version). in that spirit I will offer another set of bead chain flies, the Cat Whisker. That puts the swap at six.

I’ll do the same. Dont know yet but after i decide on the Brittney one i will get back w/ you on Mon pm

sure, i am not a beginner, i tie for orvis guides sometimes, but can i get in with a mmc?

Thanks
JZ

All right! with clodev doing double duty and JZ getting in, we are at 8. Thanks guys.

Hey… do you think i could put in another one, but i will just have to wait and see if i have time, i am going to get them sent out sometime this week so it will pobobally a b/w b/w/c clouser minnow.

thanks,
JZ

My secound fly is a blk morning dun or a blk cahill dont really know but its something i gravitate to and like.

JZ,

Sure. The more the merrier. I haven’t heard back from cheli38 yet, but I am sure he has something planned. That puts us a a count of nine flies per set. I will go ahead and close this swap as it is the 13th.
I am sure that everyone already knows the guidelines better than I, but good advice bears repeating.

  1. include container for your new flies with return address, and enough postage to get it back to you.
  2. Toes tags for each fly with fly name, your user name, and any other info you like.
  3. send 7 or 8 flies to me depending on whether you tied one or two patterns unless you want one of your own back, then send 9.

Went down stairs to tie the blk one i said in my ealier post and found i had no blk feathers :? So i will tie the light Cahill Dry fly, using some yellow bared duck i just recieved from Panman yeasterday. Thanks Panman

The flies are in the mail :!: 8)

Mine are done and will be in the mail this week. Was everyone waiting on me? If so, I apologize!

No problem cheli, we still have plenty of time. Here in the Frozen North at least, the smallmouth’s won’t be active for another 3 to 4 weeks.

Flies are in the mail. Dan
