I thought I would try making a Flav in a soft hackle pattern. I have not tried this yet, as I just tied it this morning for the first time. I will give it a try in mid-June…
That looks cool! Pardon my ignorance, but what is a flav? a what is that fly supposed to imitate?

It is intended to represent an emerging Flav - a small Western Green Drake insect.
This one has a more “traditional” abdomen.
