Planned to fish Boston Haba this morning. Some people like to call it Boston Harbor.

Instead ended up fishing in Micus’ neck of the woods after a last second change of plans.

Did some major damage at Crane Beach. What a beatiful place - and one of those days when you can see the cows a mere couple of feet in front of you as the swells approach.

A dozen or so very nice fish fell to victim to the Purple Haze.

You are a lucky man living up there Dave.

eponymous- I tie my own and haven’t run across the fly you mentioned. Would you please direct me to a source for the tying directions. Thanks, Ron

I tie alot of my flys in the Ray’s fly colors.
I’ll have to try the purple topping.

It is ostensibly a Ray’s Fly with purple on top in lieu of olive.

It is very pretty.

I also have a fresh water fly I call the Purple Haze but I go to the grave with that one.

I tie the Ray’s fly as described here: [url=http://www.stripermoon.com/flyarch/arc1.html:8cdbd]http://www.stripermoon.com/flyarch/arc1.html[/url:8cdbd]

Are you replacing his yellow with purple, or green etc.

i had a 45 rpm called “puple haze.” but that was in the 70s…

I had a purple haze in the 70’s too, it took years to go away.
