Skyway flats still have fish

Finally got out on the flats yesterday. It was mid '80’s, falling tide, overcast, water was mostly flat and gunmetal in appearance.
Still, I managed to land three fish in about two hours of fishing. Small sea trout, small jack, and a smaller jack. Had a good time watching the herons compete with me for the better fishing spots.

Actually the first time I’ve been able to get out on the flats since the Feb Fish-in. The weather has not been kind this spring and today is another day of heavy thunder storms.

Harold and I planned to meet for lunch today to talk about you all. Instead, I woke up to the drain line on my AC leaking into the house. So I am waiting for the heating/cooling repair team to arrive.

When the dawn came up like thunder

Good to here, tell that snook with the lip ache I said hello!G
Had a friend from Texas come in Friday night and we hit the flats over in Titusville Saturday morning…as I figured, the wind was blowing right up the river at 20 kts. I hate to admit this, but blow fish love the golden bendback…John got one dink trout and I had a redfish follow the fly to the guide tip. My shoulder still hurts from forcing my backcast into the wind.

Understand about that sore shoulder, Gary. I spent some obligatory time in the hot tub when I got home just to be able to keep moving.

It’s raining and stormy againt today and promises to be that way for some time yet.

If anyone knows a sun dance, this is the time to perform it.
