I’ve just completed the Skues’ bird list and added Roger Fogg’s Hackle list to my site. The Skues list has a lot of historical interest (at least it has for me), many of the birds are definitely on the banned list nowadays and some of the dialect names are most peculiar.
For a modern fly dresser the Fogg list is very useful.
