Skips Dad - August Fly Tying Video!

And a favorite of mine for August and September creek smallmouth and rock bass. This is an easy to tie fly that you want to carry this time of the year. I’ve just uploaded the fly tying directions and both a Quicktime and Windows Media video. You can also subscribe to the monthly series using xml and your iTunes program. Yes. you can play these fly tying videos on your iPod! They’re free for download, of course…

You can find the directions and links for both windows media and quicktime videos right here http://www.flyfishohio.com

Up next month, the Arkansas Bucktail. I don’t think I’ve seen that fly in anyones kit for decades. It was a very popular fly some 60 years ago and is still a wonderful producer of largemouth and smallmouth, especially when fished behind a spinner.

Tight lines!

Nice stuff, Joe. I like the Crackleback WW and Skip’s Dad. Don’t recall if I told you but I liked your article “A Calico Time of Year” on Elmer’s site (WWFF).

Thanks for this info. I really enjoyed watching the videos!

Nice! I firmly believe that crawdad patterns get too complex and this is most definitely not that (overly complex).

Old flies? Sounds great too! Looking forward.
